FRENCH COWBOY est né en 2012 de l’amour partagé pour la photographie de Mia Macfarlane et Julien Crouigneau. Les artistes ont la forte volonté de créer leurs propres images enrichies de leurs multiples expériences et cultures. Julien est français et Mia est née en Afrique du Sud mais de nationalité Suédoise et Américaine. Mia Macfarlane est diplômée du MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) et du London College of Printing. Elle commence son parcours comme artiste peintre et expose en solo dans plusieurs galeries en Europe et aux Etats Unis. Mia était directeur artistique de DOWNTOWN Magazine à New York avant de déménager en France. Julien Crouigneau a étudié le design à ESDI à Paris (l’Ecole Supérieure de Design Industrielle). A peine diplômé, il a la chance de travailler avec Philippe Starck. Il est designer mais aussi directeur artistique de deux magazines : l’un de design "INTRAMUROS" et l’autre orienté rock, art et culture "KEITH magazine".

A deux, ils ont créé le magazine de photographie, art et fashion "IRK MAGAZINE". Riches de leur cursus et sous le nom de" FRENCH COWBOY", Mia et Julien mélangent la photographie de mode et artistique, parce que la photo c’est d’abord une histoire, une émotion, une projection de soi. Leurs photos ont été exposées internationalement, publiées dans le livre de référence "The Fashion Image" et été primées au concours "Fashion Nude" organisé par le magazine "NORMAL". FRENCH COWBOY a été invité à participer aux conférences sur la photographie au Festival "Nordic Light" en Norvège.

  

FRENCH COWBOY was born in 2012 from the shared love for photography of Mia Macfarlane and Julien Crouigneau. The artists have the strong will to create their own images enriched by their multiple experiences and cultures. Julien is French and Mia was born in South Africa but has Swedish and American nationality. Mia Macfarlane is a graduate of MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) and the London College of Printing. She began her career as a painter and exhibited in solo in several galleries in Europe and the United States. Mia was artistic director of DOWNTOWN Magazine in New York before moving to France. Julien Crouigneau studied design at ESDI in Paris (l'Ecole Supérieure de Design Industrielle). As soon as he graduated, he had the chance to work with Philippe Starck. He is a designer but also artistic director of two magazines: one design magazine "INTRAMUROS" and the other one oriented rock, art and culture "KEITH magazine".

Together they created the photography, art and fashion magazine "IRK MAGAZINE". Rich of their background and under the name of "FRENCH COWBOY", Mia and Julien mix fashion and artistic photography, because photography is first of all a story, an emotion, a projection of oneself. Their photos have been exhibited internationally, published in the reference book "The Fashion Image" and were awarded at the "Fashion Nude" contest organized by the magazine "NORMAL". FRENCH COWBOY has been invited to participate in photography conferences at the "Nordic Light" Festival in Norway.
